A proposal to replace conventional exercise machines in Dillon Gymnasium at Princeton University with self-generating units. By harnessing the tremendous levels of energy produced by gym-goers every day, we worked toward implementing an environmentally, economically and socially sustainable system for Dillon. My responsibilities included researching similar programs implemented by other exercise facilities, analyzing the functionality of the newly proposed machines, and designing the final report (charts, infographics, theme, layout).
Project developed in conjunction with Kate Kaneko and Alexander Quetell for Forrest Meggers’ S’14 course, Designing Sustainable Systems, at Princeton University. View the final presentation here, and full research report here.
